KZR-DOC-01 - Transmittal Sheet Template

1. Description

A Transmittal Sheet is a document used to formally transmit or send materials, documents, or information from one party to another. It typically serves as a cover letter or cover sheet, summarizing the contents being sent and ensuring that the recipient understands what is included, why it’s being sent, and any necessary actions or acknowledgments required. Transmittal sheets are commonly used in business, legal, and construction settings, among others, to maintain a clear record of the transmission and provide context for the documents or items being sent.

We, Kezar Engineering, created our own transmittal sheet template to be used when sending documents to our clients and it's available to download as part of our Open Knowledge Program.

1. Understand how transmittal sheets works (see KZR-DOC-01)
2. Define the numbering for the transmittal sheets.
3. Define an e-mail which must be used only to send and receive transmittals/documents.
4. Download the template (see Section 3).
5. Add your company logo and company name to the header.
6. Add your company document control email (defined in step 3)
7. Add your company name to footer.
